How to Secure Your Account
Keeping Your SupportDesk Account Safe
Security is a top priority at SupportDesk. To ensure your tickets and personal information remain private, we recommend following these essential security steps:
1. Use a Strong Password Avoid using simple passwords or reusing passwords from other sites. A strong password should be at least 12 characters long and include a mix of uppercase letters, numbers, and special symbols.
2. Enable Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) 2FA adds an extra layer of security by requiring a code from your mobile device in addition to your password. You can enable this in your Account Settings under the "Security" tab. We support Google Authenticator, Authy, and similar apps.
3. Monitor Active Sessions If you ever leave your account logged in on a public computer, you can use the "Active Sessions" list in your settings to remotely log out of any unauthorized devices.
4. Be Wary of Phishing SupportDesk staff will never ask for your password via a ticket or email. If you receive a suspicious request, please report it to our administrators immediately.
